Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] ("SHLF", "we"), [registered address]. By using shlf.live (the "Service") you agree to them. If you use SHLF for an organization, you accept them on its behalf.

1. Accounts

You must be at least 16, give accurate information, and keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.

2. Your content

You own everything you put on a shelf. You give us a limited licence to store, copy, process and display it only to run the Service — for example, showing it to people you share it with, keeping version history, and running AI features you request. You confirm you have the rights to the content you upload.

3. Sharing, copies and ownership

• Anyone with a public link can view that shelf. You can turn the link off at any time.
• If copying is allowed, signed-in viewers can copy a shelf into their own workspace. Copies belong to the person who made them; you can turn copying off per shelf.
• Team shelves belong to the team. Personal shelves belong to their creator unless transferred. When a member leaves, team shelves stay with the team; the creator can transfer personal shelves to a team or teammate.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use SHLF to break the law, infringe others' rights, share malware, harass people, send spam, or try to access data or systems you're not allowed to. Don't overload, reverse-engineer or resell the Service. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

5. Plans and billing

• The Free plan has limits (currently 3 shelves and 50 items). Paid plans are listed on the pricing page.
• Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until canceled.
• You can cancel anytime; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Plan changes take effect immediately and are prorated.
• If a payment fails, we retry for a grace period; if it still fails, your account moves to Free.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice.
• Taxes may apply and are your responsibility where applicable.

6. Third-party content

Embeds and links (e.g. YouTube, TikTok, flipbook.it.com) are provided by third parties under their own terms. We're not responsible for them.

7. Termination

You can delete your account anytime. We may suspend or end access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms. After termination you can request an export of your content for 30 days, after which it may be deleted.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. AI outputs may be inaccurate; check important facts.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost profits or data. Our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 100.

10. Indemnity

You'll defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content or your breach of these terms.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll notify you of material changes in advance; continuing to use SHLF means you accept them.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [governing-law country/state], and disputes go to its courts, unless local consumer law says otherwise.
